Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) has appreciated Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) for exposing a fraudulent indigenous certificate and commended the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur for cancelling it.
In a press release, ASUD president Imnatusen Pongen and general secretary Tongpangnechet Kichu reaffirmed the union’s stance on protecting indigenous identity and rights. ASUD also backed DNSU’s decision to file an FIR on the matter and reiterated its firm stand against any misuse of indigenous identity, calling for continued strict verification to prevent such malpractices.
Meanwhile, ASUD extended congratulations to all students who successfully cleared the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2026. The union lauded the diligence, commitment and moral integrity of the students, encouraging them to contribute positively to society.
ASUD further informed that it has entered into an agreement with North East Christian University to provide 20% fee concessions for students joining humanities and social science programmes. It has also collaborated with coaching centres including Mahendras Academy, Epicentre and School of NPSC-NSSB to offer fee concessions in their programmes to support students in their academic pursuits.
