Aquareca Gardens and Farms, an initiative supported by MSME, PCI Wokha, and Agri and Fishery departments, was launched in Humtso village, Wokha District, on June 2, 2025.
The initiative, aims to promote sustainable agriculture and community development.
At the inaugural, Deputy Commissioner of Wokha and chairman, DDMA, was represented by EAC Wokha, Sangmou.
The EAC in his speech, spoke about the challenges of declining integrated farming practices due to population growth and limited land availability. He highlighted the importance of integrated farming for unemployed youths and assured the district administration’s support.
Farm’s proprietor, Yisanbemo Humtsoe, shared his vision and announced a monthly income support program for elderly villagers starting in November each year.
The event emphasized collaboration between government departments and local initiatives to strengthen agriculture and community growth. Aquareca Gardens and Farms’ efforts to support the village and encourage sustainable farming are expected to help address unemployment and poverty.
