Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles and its units have participated in celebrations of 66th Republic Day on January 26 in Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Mon and Longleng districts.
Pipe bands of Assam Rifles participated in Republic Day parade in Mokokchung, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts, while it also set up information stalls for recruitment in armed forces during the parade at Zunheboto and Mon.
The 5 Assam Rifles also conducted a medical camp at Zunheboto in which 408 patients including 139 males, 176 females and 64 children were treated. The ex-serviceman of the five districts were also felicitated during a lunch organised for them.
The civil administration of the districts have appreciated the participation by Assam Rifles in the Republic Day celebrations and also for the environmental security provided for smooth conduct of the parade.
