AR conduct awareness drive

Assam Rifles Shamatore battalion under aegis of IGAR(North) conducted an awareness drive on COVID-19 vaccination for troops of IRB deployed in Shamatore area on February 19. 

The aim of the lecture-cum-interaction was to dispel the numerous doubts and misnomers regarding safety and side effects of COVID-19 vaccine. 

All relevant information was passed on to IRB troops by 2IC Jacob, CMO. About 60 IRB personnel attended the lecture.

Meanwhile, Jalukie battalion conducted a pipe band performance to commemorate the 75 years of Indian Independence on February 19 at St Xavier’s College, Jalukie. Importance and history of pipe band along with role of youth in safeguarding freedom were also discussed.
