Assam Rifles conduct various activities

As part of its civic action programme, Assam Rifles conducted various activities across the state.

National Integration Tour: As a part of a National Integration Tour by Assam Rifles, 16 boys and girls from Nagaland, visited Pune on February 11. They toured the National Defence Academy (NDA), witnessing cadet training and learning about discipline, leadership, and patriotism. The group also trekked to Sinhagad Fort, gaining insights into its historical significance and connection to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Additionally, they explored Pune’s MG Road and shopping malls, experiencing the city’s cultural diversity and urban life.


AR conducts tree plantation drive: A tree plantation drive was held in Langnyok village, Noklak, to promote environmental sustainability and community participation. The event aimed on restoring greenery, combating deforestation, and raising awareness about nature preservation. Villagers planted native tree species to enhance biodiversity and improve the ecosystem. The initiative aimed to strengthen the bond between soldiers and civilians while fostering environmental responsibility. A total of 20 villagers, including children, volunteered for the drive.


AR conducts Art of Living and Stress Management Training Program: AR conducted an Art of Living and Stress Management Training Program in Chisewema, focusing on using yoga to manage stress and restore balance. Under the guidance of Brahmachari Achyut from the Art of Living International Centre, Bangalore. The program involved 388 participants who engaged in mindful practices, including deep breathing, stretches, and guided meditation.


AR celebrates Centenary Jubilee: AR celebrated its Centenary Jubilee with the local community on February 12 at Inbung village, Athibung. Assam Rifles personnel joined in prayers with the villagers, strengthening their bond with the community. The event blended tradition with progress, with the community expressing gratitude for ongoing support in cultural and infrastructural development.
