An army recruitment rally was conducted at Loyem College ground Tuensang from April 12 to 14 exclusively for the youth of Nagaland.
According to PRO (defence wing), youth from all districts gave an overwhelming response. “The wave of surge in candidates to join the elite profession of valour and pride from the Eastern most state of the country will go a long way in bringing about rapid socio-economic development of Naga Hill tribes”, the PRO stated.
The rally was flagged off by DDG (North East Zone) Brigadier, V.M Sharma on April 12 and Minister for Forests, Environment and Climate Change and Parliamentary Affairs C.M Chang at Loyem College ground Tuensang on April 13. The rally was smoothly conducted with the help of 40 AR, which carried out the necessary liaison proceedings arranged with civil administration for flawless conduct of the mega event.
Army recruitment office Rangapahar Dimapur under the aegis of HQ 3 Corps also received positive support from the Governor, Chief Minister, army, IGAR (N), administration, security, education and sports authorities of the state government.
Recruiting director, Col M. K Singh in-charge of recruitment in Nagaland profusely thanked the entire local and administrative staff of DC, SP and Education office Tuensang for successful conduct of the Army Recruitment Rally which culminated on April 15.
