Assam Rifles organized a series of community programs on May 27, 2025, aimed at youth engagement, wellness, and social support across different regions of the state.
In Dimapur, the unit hosted “A Day with Company Commander” for students of Little Daffodils Higher Secondary School in Doyapur. The event featured recreational activities, a Pipe Band performance, a weapon display, and student song presentations.
A total of 40 students and three teachers participated, strengthening ties between Assam Rifles and the local youth. The school expressed gratitude for the initiative.
In Peren, Assam Rifles conducted a special yoga and meditation session in the remote village of Ndunglwa, benefitting 65 children. The session focused on improving mental and physical well-being through yoga poses, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques. The initiative was highly appreciated by parents, teachers, and community members, reinforcing the importance of holistic wellness practices among children.
In Tenning, as part of its ongoing commitment to community support, Assam Rifles distributed relief materials to 83 villagers. The aid included clothing, monsoon essentials, and school supplies, aimed at uplifting the local community.
