19 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles has organised a free medical camp under Op Sadbhavna at Government Middle School, Phesama village on February 7 where a total of 55 children, 103 male and 103 female were administered with necessary medical treatment and free medicines
Assistant Commandant Vaibhav Kochhar, Assam Rifles Medical Officer, and his team have conducted the medical camp. The villagers were also educated on hygiene and sanitation related issues. The village authority and people of Phesama have expressed its gratitude to Assam Rifles for the humanitarian act.
In a related programme, 18 Assam Rifles has organised a free medical camp in Beisumpuikam village in Peren district on February 10. The medical camp was organized as part of the security forces Military Civic Action under Op Sadbhavana.  Medical team under medical officer of 18 Assam Rifles provided medical aid and distributed free medicines to locals of the region. A total of 484 patients including 146 males, 149 females and 189 children were given medical treatment and medicines for various ailments.
The locals have appreciated the initiative of Assam Rifles and expressed gratitude for free medical check-up at their doorstep.
