AR conducts veterinary camp in Chagtongya

As a part of Military Civic Action, 31 Assam Rifles has organized a free veterinary aid camp on January 5 at Changtongnya town in Mokokchung district.  During the camp, Army veterinary doctor attended the local ailing animals of the region. Altogether 1773 animals were checked for basic ailments and provided with de-worming tablets, syrups and injections.
Animals suffering from diseases like respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, cold and various other diseases were treated in the camp. Free medicines were also distributed to the owners.  The camp was attended by SDO Chantongya town, village council members and GBs. Meanwhile, public of Changtongnya town have appreciated the initiative of Assam Rifles and expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organizing the free medical check-up at the doorstep. The community also lauded the efforts of “Friends of the Hill People” and described them as true friends of local population.
