AR distributes solar lights in Phek, Noklak, and Shamator

Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Sunbird Trust, distributed solar lights to villages in Phek, Noklak, and Shamator districts to improve pathway illumination and promote renewable energy.
According to Assam Rifles sources, in Avangkhu village, Phek district, the security forces provided 10 solar lights to Rungakusu Colony and nine to Avangkhu Village on June 3, 2025, following requests from villagers. The event was attended by 75 locals, including Village Chiefs, Village Council (VCC) members, and Mothers’ Association representatives, who expressed gratitude for the initiative.
Similarly, in Noklak and Shamator villages, 19 solar lights were distributed to illuminate local pathways, main roads, and common areas. The event saw participation from village chiefs, VCC members, and Mothers’ Association representatives, who appreciated Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to support local communities.
