Dimapur

Assam Rifles carried out a series of initiatives in Phek district on August 8, reaffirming its commitment to security coordination, healthcare outreach, and community welfare.

Medical camp at Lozaphuhu village
In collaboration with the Chakesang Women Welfare Society, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Lozaphuhu village, aimed at extending essential healthcare services to remote communities.
Villagers availed consultations and received basic commodities, reflecting the force’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and support underserved populations.

Security coordination meeting
As part of its Lead Intelligence Agency (LIA) mandate, Assam Rifles convened a multi-agency meeting in Phek, bringing together representatives from the district administration and other security stakeholders.
The session served as a platform for deliberating on pressing security concerns including extortion, contraband smuggling, and illegal cross-border movement.
With Independence Day celebrations approaching, participants reviewed preventive measures and security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of events.
The forum underscored the need for robust inter-agency coordination, timely information sharing, and proactive community engagement to address emerging threats.
