AR hold ex-serviceman meet, security meeting

With an aim to know and resolve the various issues faced by the ex-servicemen and Veer Naaris, Assam Rifles conducted an ex-serviceman meet on January 7 at remote border district of Noklak. According to Assam Rifles source, at the meet, problems related to pension and various other issues faced by ex-servicemen were discussed. The meet was especially focussed on the Veer Naaris who because of being in remote areas of Nagaland face difficulties in issues regarding pension dispensation. The gesture by the Assam Rifles was appreciated by all ex-servicemen and Veer Naaris, the release added.


Meanwhile, in an effort to enhance community unity, security measures, and cooperation, Assam Rifles organized a security meeting with Village Council chairmen and GBs at Chakhabama. The meeting was attended by 30 persons including GBs, village council secretaries, village council chairmen from Sakhabama, Dihoma, Kezo town, Kikruma,Kezoma and Kidima village.


Further, guidelines with respect to registration for Agniveer and SSC GD rally was disseminated to them and villagers were encouraged to enroll and join armed forces. Further, the village representatives appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in conducting the security meeting as it ensures a cordial relation between civil populace and security forces.
