AR hold roadshows in several districts

The Assam Rifles conducted a series of road shows across Jalukie, Peren, Mon and Kiphire districts on October 16 as part of the ongoing promotional activities for the upcoming 9th Capt N Kengurüse, MVC, Memorial Football Tournament.
The road shows served to honour the valour and sacrifice of Capt N Kengurüse, MVC (P), while inspiring the youth to emulate his courage, discipline and dedication.
The road shows featured colourful processions, lively music, banners and enthusiastic participation from local residents, students and youth groups. The energy and excitement on the streets reflected the people’s pride and anticipation for the prestigious football tournament as each location witnessed overwhelming support and participation, with cheering crowds and festive fervour symbolising harmony and collective pride.
The road shows marked yet another successful stride in uniting people through football and commemorating the indomitable legacy of Capt N Kengurüse, MVC.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles conducted a football match with the children of Zeme Orphanage Children’s Home, Peren, Nagaland to foster the spirit of sportsmanship, joy and togetherness among the young children. The event concluded with the distribution of sports kits, refreshments and prizes to the children as a gesture of goodwill and encouragement. The management of Zeme Orphanage Children’s Home expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their constant support and for spreading happiness among the children.
