The meeting brought together senior representatives from the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, State Police and Intelligence Agencies. Formation commanders of Assam Rifles, Army officials from Upper Assam and senior police officers attended the deliberations, reflecting a unified approach towards emerging security challenges.
Discussions focused on assessment of ground intelligence, enhancement of real‑time information sharing and alignment of operational priorities. Issues relating to insurgent group activities, cross‑border dynamics and strengthening surveillance in vulnerable pockets were highlighted. In view of the upcoming Independence Day, emphasis was laid on maintaining heightened vigilance. The meeting concluded with reaffirmation of a cohesive joint operational framework, improved interoperability and streamlined coordination protocols to enable swift response to contingencies.

Meanwhile, in Kohima, Assam Rifles successfully conducted a Pulse Polio Immunization Drive at Garrison Hospital on June 28, reaffirming its commitment to preventive healthcare and supporting the Government of India’s Universal Immunization Programme.
A total of 41 children below five years of age were administered the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) during the programme. The drive was carried out by the medical team with active participation from parents and guardians. Medical personnel also educated parents on the importance of completing the immunization schedule and maintaining regular health check‑ups.
