9 Assam Rifles (AR) held public interaction with youths of five villages of Kohima Sub Division comprising Tsosinyu, Cheiphobozou, Zeizou, Nerhema and Chiechama Village at Battalion Headquarters, Chieswema on August 8.
According to AR sources, the interaction between commandant and the youth focused on present security situation, issues of taxation and ways to enhance cooperation between security forces and villagers.
During the session, commandant 9 AR also encouraged the youths to join government service as well as to take maximum participation in recruitment rallies and intimated them regarding assistance being provided for recruitment rally in form of pre-recruitment training, AR stated.
AR said that valuable suggestions from both sides were brought out to further improve the relationship between the security forces and general population.
Further, both parties vowed to stand together to work for long lasting peace and prosperity in the region, it added.
