Bn 2IC of 15 Assam Rifles on December 2 held an interaction with GBs and chairman of four villages of Shamatore sub-division to include Shamatore Town, Melanchury, Yakur and Sangpurr village.
All participants vowed to continue the cordial relation between Assam Rifles and different tribes. The Bn 2IC offers all possible help to villagers and urged them to approach “Friends of Hill People” without any hesitation. The measure undertaken by 15 Assam Rifles to maintain peace, harmony and co-operation among tribes in Yimchungru was appreciated by all villages. A total of 25 village leaders attended the programme.
