To commemorate 25 anniversary of Vijay Diwas, Assam Rifles (AR) in collaboration with motorcycle clubs and enthusiasts from Kohima, organized a motorcycle rally in Kohima on July 26.
The rally saw enthusiastic participation from the Assam Rifles and local community with KK Motors Kohima, Nagaland Motorcylce Club (Kohima Chapter) and Axor Club fielding in their participation, symbolizing unified tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Kargil heroes.
Chief guest of the event, deputy Inspector General (Assam Rifles – North), Brig S K Palande highlighted the indomitable spirit of Indian Armed Forces and sacrifices made during Kargil War.
After his speech, he along with parents of Capt Kenguruse, MVC (P) flagged off the rally, which covered a distance of 24-kilometer, and ended at the War Memorial of Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC (P) in Nerhema, where a wreath-laying and tribute ceremony was held. At the conclusion of the rally, Brig JBS Rathi, DIG 5 Sector Assam Rifles, felicitated participants and expressed gratitude for their patriotism and unity.
