AR organise interactive sessions

Assam Rifles (AR) battalions under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised an interactive session with the students and provided solar lights to children of orphanage home on September 2. 

Kohima battalion: Kohima battalion organised an interactive session with first semester students of Modern College in Kohima, as part of commemorative event towards “Swarnim Vijay Varsh”. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the session began with a counselling lecture on career in army followed by screening of a movie highlighting the valour of Indian army in liberation of Bangladesh in year 1971. A total of 107 students and faculty attended the event. Meanwhile, the battalion also held an interactive session with children at Baptist Church Kidima, Kohima on September 4. The children, who were undergoing vocational bible school were felicitated. Altogether, 68 children attended the interactive session. Jalukie battalion: Jalukie battalion provided solar lights and essential items to children of child care orphanage at Tening town, Peren district. In a press release, PRO (Def) Kohima informed that the children were also informed about various health and hygiene.
