Assam Rifles organized a tree plantation drive at Avangkhu, New Thewati, Ziphu, Meluri and Akhen under “Ek Ped Maa KeNaam” initiative on January 28, 2025.
The event aimed to promote eco-conscious practices and inspire a sense of responsibility among the children and local community. A total of 150 participants, including locals and Assam Rifles personnel participated in the drive, planted saplings and pledging to nurture them.
The event highlighted the significance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, supporting biodiversity, and combating climate change. The initiative was part of Assam Rifles ongoing efforts to support environmental causes and to foster community engagement.
