Assam Rifles along with civilians of Wonthoi village conducted a plantation drive at Wonthoi village, Noklak district on February 3, 2025. As part of the drive, a total of 50 saplings were planted by participants. The initiative was aimed to raise awareness among the civilians about the importance of preserving the environment and protecting planet Earth.
Assam Rifles also organised a security meeting at Piphema company under Chumoukedima district on February 3, 2025. A total of 20 attendees including village chairmen, GBs and presidents of various youth clubs from Piphema attended the meeting.
According to Assam Rifles source, the primary objective was to increase the synergy between the security forces and the village councils. As part of assam rifles ongoing commitment towards securing a better future for the general public, the meeting aimed at understanding the problems of the villages with regard to administrative requirements.
