AR organise Yoga sessions, community outreach, and training

Assam Rifles conducted a special yoga session at Jalukie B village, Peren district as part of International Yoga Day celebrations on June 4, 2025.
The event aimed to promote physical and mental well-being, highlighting yoga’s benefits for holistic health and fitness. A total of 35 individuals, including children and Assam Rifles personnel, participated. The session encouraged adopting yoga as a daily practice for a healthy mind, body, and soul.
At Tuli, Mokokchung district, Assam Rifles organized a Yoga workshop led by an expert civil yoga instructor. The session guided participants through traditional yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques to improve flexibility, core strength, respiratory health, and stress management. 59 personnel participated with enthusiasm, reflecting the force’s commitment to integrating yoga into daily routines for holistic well-being.
As part of their community outreach program, Assam Rifles arranged a visit to Vision Shelter Home in Phek, for 35 children, teachers, and families from the garrison. The visit aimed to develop life skills and spread joy among orphanage children. Activities included a cake-cutting ceremony, games, gift exchanges, distribution of essentials, and interactive sessions. The initiative fostered empathy, kindness, and social responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.
In Kiphire, Assam Rifles conducted a practice test for Agniveer aspirants as part of pre-recruitment training at the Battalion Headquarters. The structured pre-recruitment cadre helped local youth prepare for the Agniveer recruitment rally, providing a mock exam environment to assess their readiness.
Through these initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to promote fitness, resilience, social responsibility, and career development in Nagaland.
