AR organises various civic action activities

Continuing with its civic action programmes, the Assam Rifles conducted medical camps and various activities for public benefits across Nagaland.  

Following are the reports. 
Phek: Assam Rifles Phek conducted free medical camp and distributed solar lights at Losami village under Phek district on October 12. Altogether, 96 people were treated at the medical camp.
Solar lights were provided to 88 persons in the village. Earlier, Col. R.K Vikram, commandant 22nd Assam Rifles Phek spoke at the function.
Dr.Atul Sharma and his medical team conducted the medical camp.
The function was chaired by Losami Village Council secretary, Mewe Mekrisuh while welcome address was delivered by Losami Village Council, chairman Kezuwelo Akami.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles, Phek Battalion conducted lecture on “Skill Development” at Ziphu village on October 4. 
According to PRO, HQ IGAR (N), the lecture was conducted to spread awareness about various initiatives and schemes initiated by state and central government towards skill development and employment opportunities. A total of 30 residents attended the lecture. Lecture was also conducted for 80 students at Kanjang village. 
Shamator Battalion: Shamator Battalion (45 Assam Rifles) facilitated residents of Chokla village with three 1000 ltrs water storage tanks on October 7. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the water storage tanks were provided in order to assist during storage of water during lean season. 
Mokokchung Battalion: Mokokchung Battalion conducted a seminar on “teaching learning experience” in Assam Rifles High School Mokokchung on October 14. 
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the seminar was presided over by T Alemla Longkumar, principal Mokokchung College of Teacher Education. Emphasizing on communication skills, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity, she stressed upon making teaching learning an interactive experience. Vice-chairman of Assam Rifles High School, Mokokchung also addressed the teachers.    
Kohima Battalion: Kohima Battalion (3 Assam Rifles) conducted an interactive session with chairman and GBs of Jotsoma village in Kohima on October 14. 
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N) interaction was focused on liaison between the locals and security forces about the issues concerning the local populace like health, education, employment, sports, illegal extortion and ways to foster peace and harmony in the region. Chairman and eight GBs of Jotsoma village attended the meeting. 
Kiphire battalion: Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture under the theme “Clean & Green Nagaland” at Longmatra town on October 12.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the lecture was conducted to provide an insight to the local residents about the importance of hygiene, sanitation and its benefits for individuals and the society.
