Shamator Battalion handed over 10 water storage tanks to residents of Shamator village, facing acute water shortage on July 19.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), lack of perennial water source aggravates further during dry season and to mitigate the shortage, Assam Rifles provided ten 2000 litres tanks to be used for water storage during rainy season.
