
Deputy commissioner & chairman District Task Force COVID-19, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has stated that as per report received from the chief medical officer (CMO) Tuensang, 13 (thirteen) persons were tested positive for SARS COV-2 (COVID-19) via TrueNat and confirmed by RdRp Gene confirmation on August 29 at COVID-19 Hospital Tuensang. According to DIPR report, out of 13 positive cases, 6 are returnees who were in quarantine centre, 5 are from Shamator block who were under home quarantine, 1 frontline worker and 1 primary contact under home quarantine. All patients have been isolated and further testing and contact tracing are underway. At present, the patients are asymptomatic and stable. DC Tuensang therefore has issued orders for the sealing of the office of the deputy commissioner, Tuensang, the Circuit House and the office of superintendent of Police, Tuensang for a period of 48 hours or till further order with immediate effect. During this period no public interview and hospitality service shall be entertained and all officers/staff of the office/Circuit House are to self isolate and work from home and be available on call.
Kohima: ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa notified that in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive person residing at the following locations viz. Officer’s Hill Colony and Old Minister’s Hill Kohima, the areas are demarcated as sealed area in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing. All movement of person/vehicles within the defined sealed area is strictly restricted/prohibited and under active surveillance with effect from the date of sealing.
