ARK Foundation sensitizes students on TB

To create awareness on Tuberculosis (TB) elimination in the state, Access to Rights and Knowledge (ARK) Foundation in partnership with the NTEP, Nagaland organized a programme on TB awareness on April 20.
A press release by ARK president, Ketho Angami stated that the programme was attended by the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Aghunato- Zunheboto.
At the programme, Ketho spoke on the TB signs and symptoms, and services for treatment.
He urged the participants to not stigmatize nor discriminate against people with Tuberculosis but rather facilitate in getting proper treatment and also to create awareness on TB among the community.
He also highlighted on the harmful effects of using drugs and urged the students to stay away from intoxicant substances and tobacco products.
Ketho further reminded the students that one way to prevent oneself from getting introduced into such a habit was to “Say no to the first Use”.
