ARO hosts Army outreach drive for youth in Nagaland

Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Rangapahar organised an outreach programme across several colleges in Nagaland to promote recruitment in the Indian Army.
According to PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh, the events were held on July 18 at Oriental College, Mount Olive College and Alder College in Kohima, and on July 19 at St. Xavier College in Jalukie, Peren district. Over a thousand students participated.
At Jalukie, Lt. Gen. Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, GOC Spear Corps, and DIG, 6 Sector Assam Rifles attended the programme.
Students were briefed on the Agnipath scheme, registration procedures, recruitment notification for 2025–26, and post-service opportunities. Officer entry schemes like NDA, IMA, OTA, MNS, TA, and the SSB interview process were explained in detail.
Information was shared about Army organisation and different Arms and Services. Publicity materials including posters, pamphlets, T-shirts, wristbands and caps were distributed.
Motivational videos and a war film screening were held. A registration help desk was set up and a dart game activity was organised to engage students.
