ARTC&C holds Town Official Language Implementation Committee meet

The second biannual meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Dimapur was held at Assam Rifles Training Centre & School, Shokhuvi on August 30 under the Chairmanship of Brig S K Sheoran, YSM, SM, Commandant, ARTC & S.


The meeting was attended by 37 members of Central Government offices, Banks and Undertakings situated in Dimapur. The meeting began with an welcome speech by Lt Col Rajesh Katoch, secretary TOLIC, followed by a detailed briefing on the various aspects of TOLIC meet by Asitkamal, Hindi Officer of ARTC&S and members of TOLIC, Dimapur presented their feedback on official work in Rajbhasha Hindi in their respective offices.


Assessing the progress regarding implementation of Hindi in Central Government Offices in Dimapur, Brig S K Sheoran, YSM, SM, stressed on the importance of progressive use of Hindi and encouraged all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding implementation of the official language Hindi. He also emphasized that Hindi should be implemented by incentive and inspiration in all Central Government offices.


In order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst the offices of Central Govt, TOLIC Shield Scheme was also introduced, in which first three member offices are awarded with shields for the implementation of official Language Policy in a better manner.


Group Centre CRPF, Khatkhati, Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Dimapur and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sewak Project, Dimapur were awarded with first, second and third shield respectively.


43 Assam Rifles, Nagaland University, Lumami, ICAR- National Mithun Research Centre, Dimapur, Geological Survey of India, Dimapur, Central Bank of India, Dimapur were also extended Commendation Certificate for their excellent work in the field of official language implementation.
