Artisans display items at ‘Craft Bazar’

Hundreds of stalls have been set up by artisans from Nagaland and Assam, displaying their handmade crafts on the first day of the 10-day, “Craft Bazar” at Urban Haat, Dimapur on Monday.  
The bazaar organized by Nagaland handloom and handicrafts development cooperation Ltd. and sponsored by development commissioner (handicrafts), ministry of textiles, government of India, New Delhi was inaugurated by secretary, industry and commerce, Hushili Sema.
Expressing satisfaction for providing platform to the local artisans to display their products, Hushili said that the event would go a long way in encouraging the artisans. 
Various locally made crafts varying from day to day utility, decorative to specially designed ladies and gents wear put on display.  
NHHDCL, chairperson, Banuo Sanchu, managing director NHHDCL and addl. director, department of industries and commerce, Er. S. Temsulong Jamir and other senior officials also witnessed the inaugural function.
