The grand finale of Battle of Minds 3.0, a state-level youth quiz competition organised by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, will be held today at DK Hall in Itanagar.
The competition seeks to promote knowledge, critical thinking, stage confidence, decision-making and the ability to perform under pressure among young students, while encouraging learning beyond the classroom.
This year’s edition saw 1,170 students and young people participate across the state, up from 686 participants in Battle of Minds 2.0 in 2025 and 106 in the inaugural Battle of Minds.
As part of preparations for the finale, the finalists will undergo a grooming session with Let’s Speak Arunachal.
Four teams have qualified for the final after progressing through the different stages of the state-level competition.
Rigainlu Kri and Shayon Ghosh of Global Valley School, Roing, and Castro Meme and Jumnam Rallen of Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar, topped the qualifiers with 130 points each.
They will be joined by Marpin Bagra and Gobin Daw of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aalo, who secured 120 points, and Niton Kadu and Basar Megu of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan, who finished with 110 points.
The four teams will compete in the Battle of Minds 3.0 grand finale on September 20 for the championship title.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tafrogam, won the second edition of the competition in 2025, while Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, emerged as the winner of the inaugural edition.
The rise in participation from 106 in the first edition to 686 in the second and 1,170 this year indicates growing participation in the state-level quiz competition.
