In a joint operation, troops of 28 Assam Rifles (AR) and 164 TA NAGA on March 4 have seized illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and contraband being smuggled into Nagaland from a Tata Sumo (NL 02 T 1406).
AR report stated that a total of 438 IMFL and 1457 SP tablets were seized from the possession of one Rolumo (28), reportedly the owner of the vehicle.
The approximate cost of the seized liquor and contraband has been estimated at around 95,000. The alleged owner, along with the recovered items, was handed over to Wokha Police Station on March 4, AR added.
