Assam Rifles celebrated Veterans Day with pride and enthusiasm at Kohima Garrison on March 23, with participation of 75 Ex-Servicemen (ESM), reflecting strong camaraderie between serving personnel and veterans.
The programme featured a series of activities aimed at honouring the invaluable contributions of veterans while also addressing their welfare needs. The event began with the arrival and warm reception of the Assam Rifles ESM, followed by a medical camp that provided essential healthcare services.
A grievance redressal session was also organised, offering a platform for veterans to raise and resolve concerns. Adding colour to the occasion, a short cultural programme showcased local talent and promoted a spirit of unity and respect.
A key highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of Veer Naris and Veer Mataas in recognition of their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering support to the nation.
In addition, various forms of assistance were extended to the veterans, reaffirming Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to their welfare and well-being.
