Longding battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a special awareness programme on national flag code as part of “Har Ghar Tiranga campaign” at ARPS, Wokha district on July 5.
According to PRO IGAR (N), the campaign was aimed at creating awareness among the children about the campaign launched by the centre as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
At the programme, the children were briefed about evolution, significance and importance of the national flag and national flag code. They were also encouraged to unfurl the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day.
