Assam Rifles conduct medical camps in Kiphire, Mon districts

Assam Rifles as part of Headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) under the aegis of Spears Corps organised medical camp and veterinary camp.

Kiphire Bn: Kiphire battalion of Assam Rifles organised a medical camp and assisted in providing essential medical help to the villagers of Thongsonyu village Kiphire district on September 5.

A press release by Assam Rifles stated that Thongsonyu, one of the remotest villages on Indo-Myanmar border, was facing a “plethora of issues from poor connectivity to lack of basic medical facilities”.

AR said the medical camp was organised with an aim “to reach out to the needy people of the border village and revive the bonhomie and addressing the health problem issue”.

During the camp, AR said medical assistance was provided to the villagers ensuring mitigation and remedy of various health ailments. 

Mon Bn: Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles under “Operation Sadbhavana” conducted a veterinary camp on September 6 at Mon Town.

In a press release, Assam Rifles stated that the Veterinary camp was executed by a team of 14 mobile veterinary hospital, medical staff and veterinary department of Mon district. AR said the veterinary camp was to provide basic medical treatment and medicines for livestock in far flung villages of Mon district.
