Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp at Yangkhao village and its surrounding areas on July 13. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical consultation and treatment for minor ailments to the local residents devoid of requisite medical facilities.
Apart from medical assistance, basic awareness on hygiene and healthy lifestyle was also imparted. 70 males, 91 females and 77 children were treated during the camp.
Zunheboto Battalion: Zunheboto Battalion conducted medical camp at Aghunato and adjoining villages of Zunheboto on July 9. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), medical team from Assam Rifles, in collaboration with primary health centre representatives, provided medical consultation and treatment to 226 residents.
Medicines were also distributed and need for abiding by safety precautions against COVID-19 were further imparted.
