Assam Rifles conduct programmes across Nagaland

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) has been organising different programmes across Nagaland. 
5 AR: Seminar-cum-workshop on drug free Nagaland and HIV & AIDS was organised by 5 Assam Rifles in association with Kripa Foundation at Zunheboto on June 26. Senior counsellor of Kripa Foundation educated the youths about substance abuse, alcohol and narcotics.  The event was attended by youths and locals from Zunheboto town and neighbouring villages.
44 AR: International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was observed by 44 Assam Rifles on June 26 at Mokokchung. Capt Sauravh Dhand, regimental medical officer of 44 Assam Rifles, conducted a detailed discussion on the theme with Assam Rifles troops and civilians to educate them about the health hazard of drug abuse and malpractices of illicit trafficking.  The session organised by the “No Fear Team” was aimed at directing the youth of the region in the fight against drug abuse.
32 AR: 32 Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on HIV & AIDS at Purana Bazar, Dimapur on June 27. The aim of the lecture was to spread awareness about cause of spread and preventive measures and discuss stigmas attached to HIV & AIDS. A total of 26 villagers attended the lecture. 
 36 AR: 36 Assam Rifles under conducted an interaction with GBs at Tening COB on June 29, to share information about various government schemes with the villagers. During the programme issues discussed were development projects, creation of Jan Dhan accounts, Aadhar cards and conduct of awareness programme on HIV & AIDS and drug abuse was highlighted. The event was attended by a total of 10 GBs of Tening and neighbouring villages.  
35 AR: 35 Assam Rifles under organised a lecture on drug abuse & its ill effects on June 26, conducted by Capt Tejesh BS, RMO at Naginimora who highlighted the physical, mental, occupational and financial hazards by use of drugs. Approximately 50 AR personnel and 30 civilians of Naginimora village attended the lecture.
