The event, which featured enthusiastic participation from the principal, teachers, and students, took participants on a scenic route around Tuensang, highlighting the region’s natural beauty and encouraging outdoor learning.
Assam Rifles hosts security meeting in wangti
On May, Assam Rifles conducted an essential security meeting in Wangti, Mon district, in collaboration with village GBs, council members, and representatives from various departments.
The meeting saw active participation from representatives of 17 villages, including Head GBs, Chairmen, Village Guards, and leaders of the Konyak Union.
The meeting centered around security concerns, coordination between local communities and security forces, and promoting peace and development, especially in the border areas. Village leaders expressed gratitude for Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts in maintaining peace and security, reaffirming their support for the initiative, which plays a crucial role in sustaining stability in the region.
Assam Rifles personnel donate blood to save life
Assam Rifles personnel selflessly donated blood at the District Hospital in Phek, on May 26, to save the life of Niechuphulu, a 65-year-old woman from Phek village battling Leukemia. The patient urgently needed O⁺ve blood units for a critical transfusion.
Upon request from local authorities and the hospital, Assam Rifles personnel responded promptly to assist. The blood donation provided a life-saving solution to the patient and offered tremendous relief to her family.
Assam Rifles conducts friendly football match
Further strengthening the bond between the security forces and local communities, Assam Rifles organized a friendly football match on May 26, between Assam Rifles and the youth of Wakching town, Mon District, under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (EBSB) initiative.
The event was aimed at promoting national integration, fostering mutual understanding, and building a sense of unity through sports.
The friendly competition saw enthusiastic participation from both the troops and local youth, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and healthy competition. The event concluded with the exchange of goodwill tokens and refreshments, symbolizing the strength of friendship, unity, and national integration.
