Assam Rifles conduct various activities

Jalukie battalion of HQ IGAR (N) under the aegis of Spear Corps organised a COVID-19 awareness drive for the children and staff of Zeme Women Organisation Children’s Home and Christian Servanthood Ministry Orphanage Home, Peren town on Wednesday. 

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the team organised a campaign focused on creating awareness about the precautions to be undertaken in the wake of the surge in COVID-19 cases.

The team emphasised on the use of face masks, maintaining social distancing and use of hand sanitisers among other precautions.

Altogether, seven staff and 27 children benefitted from the awareness lectures.

Meanwhile, Mokokchung battalion of Assam Rifles assisted the district hospital, Mokokchung in establishing a COVID care center (CCC) on June 8.

The initiative was aimed at shouldering the responsibilities of district administration in facilitating the people with optimal patient care and necessary medical aid.

The battalion provided temporary waiting tents and potable water for the patients.
