Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various activities across Nagaland.
Jalukie Bn: Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles conducted awareness lecture on women empowerment on January 13 at Athibung and Tening villages of Peren district.
According to PRO defence the lecture aimed to create awareness about women empowerment and about role of women in nation building, career planning and various career choices available.
The participants were also highlighted about various assistance and guidance provided by Assam Rifles in education of students, training and coaching of girls for various recruitment exams and nurturing their talents in various fields. A total 19 villagers including members of women society, students and youths attended the event.
Dimapur Bn: Dimapur battalion on January 13 inaugurated drainage system at Sodzulhou Village under Assam Rifle Civic Action Programme.
Meanwhile, the village council had acknowledged the Assam Rifles for construction the drainage system which was the basic requirement of the village.
