Assam Rifles conduct various activities

Assam Rifles, has recently carried out a series of community-focused initiatives across Nagaland.
In Athibung Village, Peren District, a significant cleanliness drive was undertaken in collaboration with 30 local residents. Following heavy rainfall, waterlogging had disrupted access to the village. Assam Rifles personnel worked alongside villagers to clear debris and address the water logging issue, restoring accessibility and improving living conditions. The initiative also promoted health and hygiene, further strengthening the bond between Assam Rifles and the local community.
On World Cancer Day (1st August 2025), Assam Rifles organized a Cancer Awareness Lecture in Mimi Village, Kiphire District, aimed at educating locals, troops, and their families about cancer prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices. Medical experts from Assam Rifles discussed cancer symptoms, risk factors, and the importance of regular check-ups and tobacco cessation. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with interactive sessions and screenings further amplifying the community’s awareness.
