Assam Rifles conduct various activities across state

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General of Assam Rifles-North (IGAR-N) conducted various programmes and activities across Nagaland.


Chakhabama: A security meeting under the theme, “together we stand” was organised by the Assam Rifles on January 29 at Chakhabama.
Assam Rifles informed that a total of 25 persons including head GB, GBs and village council members from Sakhabama, Kezo town and Kezo Basa attended the meeting and discussed various issues pertaining to administration, security and coordinated efforts for development. Various measures and coordination at all levels to be adopted for forthcoming elections was also discussed.


Shamator: Assam Rifles flagged off an educational tour for 45 students belonging to under privileged families from remote border villages of Shamator District on January 29. The eight days tour is being organised by Assam Rifles and the team will be visiting Jorhat, Kaziranga, Dimapur and Kohima.


Ghaspani: A solemn Wreath laying ceremony was organised at the Unit War Memorial in Ghaspani to pay homage to Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on January 28, 1998 when the unit was deployed in Thoubal Bazar, Manipur.
