Assam Rifles conduct various operations

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a series of operation in various areas during the month of December. 
Zunheboto Battalion: Zunheboto Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an operation based on specific information in general area Krimitomi village, Zunheboto along with police representative on December 25.
According to PRO, one NSCN (K) cadre SS assistance section officer NSCN (K), Mulato Assumi (30), son of Yetovi Assumi, resident of Akuhaito village, Zunheboto was apprehended along with 94 Spasmo Proxyvon Capsules, incriminating documents pertaining to NSCN (K) faction and one mobile handset. The Individual along with recovered items was handed over to Zunheboto police station for further investigation.  
Medziphema Battalion: Medziphema Battalion along with police representative of Chumukedima police station conducted an operation in general area 7th mile Dimapur on December 23 and recovered 1342 cases worth approximately Rs. 41,50,000/- of illegal liquor from a Tata truck (AS-01 EC-9351) and warehouse. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North) informed that the recovered illegal liquor along with the vehicle has been handed over to police station Chumukedima for further investigation.  The battalion also established an MVCP at Pherima village Dimapur along with police representative on December 28.According to PRO, during the operation, two individuals Mahadil islam (20), son of Noor jamal Ali, resident of Khatkati Assam and Rowbul Hussain (20), son of Makbul Hussain, resident of Khatkhati Assam were apprehended along with 1,200 cases of Kingfisher beer worth Rs 34 lakhs and one Tata truck (NL07A-7181). The individuals were handed over to Medziphema police station for further investigation.
Chieswema Battalion: Chieswema battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a search operation along with police representative in general area Kigwema village on December 22 and apprehended one person along with arms during the operation. According to PRO HQ IGAR (North), the apprehendee was identified as Vizeto Yano (53) son of Siesa Yano, resident of Kigwema village Kohima district. 
The recoveries included two point 22 pistols along with one magazine each. In this connection, the aprehendee along with the recovered arms has been handed over to police station Khuzama.
