Assam Rifles conduct various programmes across Nagaland

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) organised various programmes across the state for different sections of the society.
5 AR: 5 Assam Rifles organized a veterinary camp at Suruhoto village, Zunheboto on October 25. AR stated that the veterinary camp aimed to provide medical assistance and treatment to livestock of the needy people of remote areas which are devoid of veterinary medical facilities.  
The camp was conducted by a medical team of 14 mobile veterinary hospital led by Captain Rahul and assisted by supervisor and field assistants from Zunheboto veterinary department. Altogether 646 livestock were examined and given free medicines.
 32 AR: 32 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Vidima village, Dimapur district on October 26 to provide medical assistance to locals of Vidima and adjacent villages in the area. A team of Assam Rifles medical staff provided treatment and medicines to 108 locals of the area. In addition, locals were also educated about the importance of vaccination, health and hygiene and common first aid methods. 
 15 AR: 15 Assam Rifles organised a preventive measures lecture on HIV & AIDS at C’ Saddle village on October 25. The lecture was conducted by assistant commandant ARMO, SV Sudheer with an aim to make the villagers aware about the disease and its ill effects. A total of 30 villagers attended the lecture.
28 AR: 28 Assam Rifles organised a veterinary camp and 14 Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital at Wokha on October 23. Large numbers of livestocks were examined by team of army veterinary doctor and nursing staff. Treatments were provided and free medicines were also distributed to the villagers for their pets.
7 AR: 7 Assam Rifles organised debate competition at Government High School, Akhegwo on October 26 with an aim to sensitize youth about Drugs & HIV & AIDS. The topic for the debate was “Drugs a menace & HIV & AIDS awareness”. A total of 40 students debated on the topic wherein top position holders were felicitated during the prize distribution function.
