Various Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organized veterinary camps in various locations in collaboration with 14 Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital and local administration. Veterinary medication was distributed free of cost and pet owners and animal farmers were educated on hygiene and sanitation of their livestock.
Medziphema Battalion conducted the camp in Piphema Bawe village, Dimapur on March 12. 731 livestock were examined and treated in the camp.
Wokha Battallion conducted the camp in Bhandari Town for 12 villages on February 20. 22 cattle, 309 pigs, 223 dogs and 315 fowl were examined and basic treatment administered.
Mon and Shamatore Battalions conducted the camp at Phomching village, Mon and Shamatore town on February 28. A total of 38 cows, 206 dogs, 198 pigs and 96 fowl were examined at Phomching, while at Shamatore town the number was ten cows, 197 dogs, 219 pigs, 15 goats and 305 fowl.
Phek Battalion conducted the camp at Kanjang Village, Phek on January 30. 68 residents attended the camp along with 1167 animals and 1498 poultry.
