Assam Rifles conducts lecture in Tseminyu, Phek

28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a lecture on ‘Women Empowerment’ at Tseminyu on May 30. The lecture was addressed by COB Commander of Tseminyu. Issues pertaining to women empowerment were discussed during the lecture. Addl DC, Tseminyu Theodore Yanthan, Rengma Mothers Association, Tseminyu Region v. president Wiashu Thyu and gen secretary Ruth Thung also attended the lecture. A total of 22 women and 18 men from surrounding villages of Tseminyu participated.
Similarly on May 29, 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) organised a lecture to educate villagers of Pokhungri, Phek District on various govt schemes like Jan Dhan Yojna, Aadhar Card and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The members of village council, GBs and villagers attended the lecture.
