Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), distributed four computers, 50 volleyballs, 50 footballs, 10 volleyball nets and 50 plastic chairs, to villagers of 26 villages of Peren district, on February 14.
According to PRO (Defense), recognizing the importance of holistic development, the initiative was aimed to promote physical fitness and enhance access to digital education among villagers.
The distribution event was held at Tening and attended by 185 villagers from various villages.
