Assam Rifles flag off NIT from Kiphire

As part of Operation Sadbhavana, the Assam Rifles (AR) flagged off a National Integration Tour from Kiphire on August 29, aimed at promoting unity, cultural exchange, and expanding the worldview of youth from eastern Nagaland.
According to a press release issued by HQ IGAR (North), the tour was flagged off by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Assam Rifles, who underscored the vital role of youth in nation-building and reaffirmed the force’s commitment to fostering goodwill and harmony across regions.
The itinerary includes visits to Kohima, Delhi, and Agra, where participants will explore iconic landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, National War Memorial, and National Museum. A highlight of the tour will be an interaction with the President of India and other eminent dignitaries. A total of 20 students and two teachers from PM Shri Govt High School, Yangphi, Kiphire District, are taking part in the tour, which will conclude on September 12, 2025.
