Assam Rifles host World Youth Skills Day

Assam Rifles marked World Youth Skills Day by organising an awareness programme at Sumi Village, Phek district on July 15. The event saw the participation of 27 youth and focused on skill development and future opportunities.
Participants were welcomed warmly and given an informative lecture on skill-building. The session encouraged self-reliance and responsible citizenship among village youth.
Assam Rifles also conducted a skill development awareness lecture at Letsami village, New Thewati, Meluri, with active participation from 49 local residents.
The session focused on promoting vocational training, self-employment and government-supported programmes under the Skill India Mission. Participants were briefed on various opportunities available to build job-ready skills and become self-reliant.
In a separate outreach effort, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp and CPR awareness programme at Old Thewati village in Meluri district. Around 90 villagers received medical consultations and medicines.
Officials also held a practical CPR and first aid demonstration to help locals respond effectively to emergencies. Villagers expressed appreciation for the continued support by Assam Rifles towards healthcare and welfare in rural areas.
