Assam Rifles nab ‘arms dealer’ in Dmu

Based on specific information, 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) launched an operation along with police representatives in general area Veterinary Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur on April 26.
According to PRO IGAR (N), during the operation one individual identified as Nurul Huk, (24) resident of Burma Camp was nabbed along with one Pt 22 mm pistol with magazine.
PRO stated that during the interrogation, the arrested person revealed that he had been involved in procurement and smuggling of arms. Nurul along with the recovered arms and items was handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, PRO informed.
