As part of its civic action programme, Assam Rifles conducted a series of activities including medical camp across the state.
On February 20, Assam Rifles organised activities at Christian School, Athibung, Peren, aimed at fostering social responsibility and encouraging the holistic development of students. The event featured a “Pledge Wall for Justice” activity, where students participated by pledging their commitment to uphold justice and fairness in society.
Assam Rifles also distributed sports items to the school, promoting physical activity and encouraging youth to engage in sports.
Stationery items distributed to students: Assam Rifles in a continued effort to support education and empower young minds organized a stationery distribution drive at Holy Angels School, Noklak. A total of 80 students received essential school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, and other learning materials.
The initiative was aimed to encourage education among children and strengthen the bond between the security forces and the local community.
Medical camp in Kiphire: Assam Rifles organized a free medical health camp at Old Mongre village of Kiphire district. The initiative under Operation Sadbhavana aimed to deliver essential healthcare services to the local population, reflecting commitment of Assam Rifles to community welfare and public health, especially in remote and underserved areas.
A wide range of services, including free doctor consultations, distribution of medicine and screenings for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and Hepatitis were carried out at the camp.
Residents were also educated about the benefits of government health schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), ensuring greater awareness and access to these welfare programs.
