Various battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) conducted various welfare activities across the state.
Mon Battalion organised awareness lecture on drug abuse under Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) at Nyahnyu village, Mon on January 5.
The lecture was focused on prevention of drugs use and to spread awareness among villagers.
The villagers expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles and vowed to end use of drugs in the Village.
Tuensang battalion organized screening of animation movie at Chenloisho village, Mon district on January 5.
Altogether of 54 children of Wangto, Kangnyu and Selambasti attended the movie screening.
Refreshments were provided and in the end chocolates were also distributed among the children.
